Week 13 WW Recap

My training has definitely not been going as planned lately. Week 12 was a complete fail due to my (self-diagnosed) abdominal muscle strain that has gone away (I think) although I wouldn’t really know since I have barely run. Now, I have been having some inside and front knee pain and have an appointment with a sports medicine doc tomorrow so we will see. This is not the time for injuries being 6 weeks out from my FIRST FULL marathon.

Monday October 1:
Strength Training (Chest & Biceps)
6.02 mile tempo (51:45)

Tuesday October 2:
Speed Work
10 x 400m – 7:21 pace
400m RI
Off (knee pain)

Wednesday October 3:
NTC 45min Circuit
Speed Work
10 x 400m – 7:21 pace
400m RI (6.0 miles, 53:29)

Thursday October 4:
8 mile Tempo Run (8:35 pace)

Friday October 5:
Rest Day
45 min elliptical, 15 min bike

Saturday October 6:
Long Run
18 miles
20 min arms circuit

Sunday October 7:
Long Run Recovery Day

Total weekly mileage: 12.02 miles
