hi! Welcome to what used to be Runner Ritsa. My name is Ritsa, obviously. And I am a runner turned CrossFitter. You can also call me CrossFit Ritsa but at the time it didn’t have the same ring to it. I had taken a 3 year hiatus but I am not back with Ritsa Runs on Fitness. A blog about running, CrossFit, fitness, travel, nutrition, and all things Ritsa.
I live in northern MD but am a Jersey girl at heart (holler Point Pleasant!). I began running in college but only a few miles here and there. In August of 2009, I began training for races and running as a way of life instead of a quick run at the gym. Being active wasn’t always a priority to me but I have made fitness a part of my daily life. Sitting at my desk all day at work doesn’t hurt to motivate me either.
I have completed a handful of half marathons, 10ks, 5ks and other distances! I began CrossFit in January 2013. CrossFit has now become the main part of my fitness regimen but I continue to run and try other things. I love being active.

I’m in Fallston, but belong to BAAC, definitely need strong running partners. Struggle often with that!! I do my long runs on Saturdays typically. Seems like we are at least close to the same pace, just achieved my 5 year half goal of 1:45. I have run three marathons and will run Richmond this November and trying to get closer to that BQ time (3 minutes away for the 40 year old time). Im sure Im a bit older than you but would love to run! Email me anytime.
