hi! Welcome to Runner Ritsa. My name is Ritsa, obviously. And I am a runner turned CrossFitter. You can also call me CrossFit Ritsa but it doesn’t seem to have the same ring to it.
I live in northern MD but am a Jersey girl at heart (holler Point Pleasant!). I began running in college but only a few miles here and there. In August of 2009, I began training for races and running as a way of life instead of a quick run at the gym. Being active wasn’t always a priority to me but I have made fitness a part of my daily life. Sitting at my desk all day at work doesn’t hurt to motivate me either.
I have completed a handful of half marathons, 10ks, and 5ks, and I am hoping to run a marathon…soon! I began CrossFit in January 2013. In the last 6 months I have really transitioned to a CrossFit way of life with running on the side to keep me in shape… and sane. I CrossFit at CrossFit Bel Air about 4-6 times a week and am training to get in shape for the future CrossFit Open/Regionals/Games.
